Doing the Dirty Work Up Front
Skill-position players tend to get the headlines, but very little of what they accomplish happens without the work being done up front. This season, one offensive lineman in particular has quietly turned into the anchor of the entire unit, consistently winning one-on-one matchups against some of the league’s most disruptive pass rushers without drawing much attention to himself.
Leadership That Extends Beyond the Line
Teammates and coaches alike point to his preparation as much as his physical tools. He’s typically the first one in the film room breaking down next week’s opponent, and younger linemen have started following his lead when it comes to studying tendencies before kickoff. It’s the kind of steady, professional approach that doesn’t always show up in the box score but shows up every single week on tape.
